He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gerald Short and Edith Ramona Ritter. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Nicole Peterson (Chris) and Tyler Short (Kasi); his grandchildren, Haydn, Mason, Ashlynn, Eastyn, Laklyn, Jaxon and Hudson; his siblings, Judi Nehring, Marie Holstein (Bob), Steve Short (Debbie), Dale Short (Leanne), Michael Short (Cindy), Bob Short, Jerry, Chris Short and Cindy Atkinson (Jon); and his caregiver Tom. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
