He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Black and Rose Black (Hengst); his grandparents, Fred, Anna Hartung Black, Anton and Mary Falkner Hengst; his siblings, Carolyn Smith, Daniel Black and Audrey; his brothers-in-law, Richard Chilson and Walter Hermundson; his nephew Christopher Chilson; and his niece Karen Baumann.
He is survived by: his sisters, Norma Chilson and Delores Hermundson; his nephew Curt Chilson (Shana); and his nieces, Kim Unser (Mark), Kelly Kuehl (Scott), Sandra VanRanst (Warren) and Lori Chilson (Steve Baumann). He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews and numerous cousins.
