Mary L. Bue Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary L. Bue of Edgerton, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 26, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Mary has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Wike and Marian Wike; and her husband Gene Bue of Melrose, WI.. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Hessian of Edgerton, WI and Jane Helgestad (Jim) of Dayton, MN; and her grandsons, Jedd, Max, Nick and Sam.

In 2017, Mary received the prestigious Jackson Women in History award, recognizing her contributions to the Black River Falls area.
