He was predeceased by: his parents, Erling Landfried and Lorraine Landfried (Spille). He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Buss (Jerry) of Menomonee, WI, Dinah Ballman of Phoenix, Tracey Bartlett of Denver and Todd Landfried of California; and his uncle Hank Spille of Washington, DC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Landfried's photographic opportunities took a wider turn in 1979, when he became the first public affairs officer of International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
