He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sr. Matz and Martha Matz (Klitzka); his wife Sharon Low; his granddaughter Heavyn; and his in-laws, Marie Ross (Floyd "Pat"), Esther Bouwens (Jim), Ella Matz, Eugene Matz, Gail Spranger, Doc Pfefferle and Curtis Low.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Matz (Cindy) and Heidi Evans (Carl) of Little Chute; his grandchildren, Eric (Caitlin), Amber (Andrew), Elizabeth (Alec), Alex (Mattie), Patrick and Payton; his great grandchildren, Iris, Micah, Niya, Silas and Saylor; his brothers, Carl Matz Jr. and Harvey Matz (Charlotte); and his siblings-in-law, Elsie Matz, Kenny Low (Mary), Helen Low, Gary Spranger, Carolyn Pfefferle, Evie Low, Kevin Low (Denise) and Julie Trebus (Jerry). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home - Wittenberg (401 W College Ave, Wittenberg, WI 54499). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:40 AM at the same location.
