He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Thorson and Yvonne Thorson (Borgwardt); his wife Jane Johnson; and his daughter-in-law Teresa Thorson. He is survived by: his sons, Dale Thorson and Greg Thorson (Bobbi); his grandchildren, Cloe Thorson, Tylor Thorson, Bailey Strenke (Nick) and Hannah Thorson; his great grandchildren, Penelope and Juniper; and his brothers, John Thorson (Jane), Jerry Thorson (Cindy) and Ricky Thorson (Mary).

Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home – Mondovi Chapel (679 Hehli Way, Mondovi, WI 54755). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
