It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Darlene Schafer (Elkhorn, Wisconsin), who passed away at the age of 93, on November 14, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph W. Engler and Marie Engler (Hartman); her husband LaVerne F. Schafer; her son Rickey; her son-in-law Keith; her siblings, Gale, Gene Engler and Ione Phillips; and her daughter-in-law Peggy Schafer.

She is survived by: her children, Kerry Schafer, David Schafer (Sandy) and Tammy Pena (Alex); and her sister Sharon Olson. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.
