He is survived by : his wife Mary; his children, Caryn Standal, Christy Harteau (Roger) and Laura Bub; his grandchildren, Ben Harteau (Kaela), Zachary Harteau (Jessica), Anna Harteau, Charlie Bub, Jake Standal (Ashley), Kait Standal (Derrek Grunfelder-McCrank), Nik Standal (Tabitha McMaster) and Tess Standal; his great grandchildren, Caroline Standal, Henry Harteau, Rose and Lily Harteau; and also Sarah Bull. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made by planting a tree in Donald's memory.
