With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald M. Smudde of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, born in Lombard, Illinois, who passed away on April 29, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Dee; and his siblings, Stan, John, Edie and Ken.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Engelbrecht, Jerald Smudde and Michael Smudde; his grandchildren, Katrina, Simone, Matthew, Jessica (Evan), Zachary, Ayden and Nicholas; and his friends, Bob and MJ Pyszka. He is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jerry's name may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
