She was predeceased by : her parents, Reedie Austin and Caroline Austin (Meister); and her husband Carl F. Matthews. She is survived by : her stepdaughter Tammy Newman. She is also survived by two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
