He was predeceased by: his parents, George Reed and Laura Reed (Deisinger); his siblings, Earl (Naomi), Robert (Fran), Ivan (Verona), Loyd (Evelyn), Dale (Ginger), Glenn (Betty), Donnie, Pearl Reed, Erma Fellows (Chuck), Dorothy Oberli (Obe) and Darlene Sterken; and his brother-in-law Melvin Boness.
He is survived by: his wife Bev Reed (Saltzmann); his children, Melinda Peterson (Paul), Michele Batz, Jeff Reed (Karen), Jared Reed (Lisa) and Jon Reed (Rebecca Marschner); his sister Mildred Boness; his grandchildren, Makalyn Soltvedt (Nate), Olivia Peterson (Trent Hernandez), Dalton (Lillie Cauffman), Megan Batz (Kyle Kurth), Nathanial Reed, Alex Petrie, Kaylie Beitzer (Parker), Ben, Sarah and Becca Reed; his great grandchildren, Kynslee Soltvedt, Montana, Montgomery, Harlee and Huxlynn Batz; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Reed and Wayne Sterken.
