He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard Bartlett and Loretta Bartlett (Hughes); his siblings, Leon, James Bartlett, Dorothy Valentine (George), Jan Halgren (Marvin) and Catherine Wolpers; and his sons, John David Bartlett and Thomas Bartlett.

He is survived by : his wife Norena Johnsen; his daughters, Anna M. Bartlett, Catherine "Caty" Bartlett (John Urich) and Teresa Hanson (Troy); his grandchildren, Alexandria "Alex" Bartlett, Jackson Bartlett (Jennifer), Jacob Sterny, Lucas Sterny, Nathaniel Carlstrom (Jackie), Samantha Carlstrom, Travis Hanson (Caitlin) and Crissy Anderist (Benjamin); his brother Jerry Bartlett (Sandy); and his great grandchildren, Emma Carlstrom, Esme, Finn Anderist and Adalyn Hanson.
