Diane M. Nolan Obituary
Diane M. Nolan passed away on May 10, 2025 after a brief illness. She will be remembered for a deep devotion to her faith, as well as her cheerful, good-natured, and generous personality. She was a loving and patient wife and a beloved mother and grandmother. Diane was born in Chicago, Illinois, the eldest daughter of Lawrence and Verna Beaumier. Moving to Wisconsin at a young age, she graduated from Pius XI High School in 1958. She then earned a degree from St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1961, where she forged strong lifelong bonds with her classmates. She took immense pride in being a nurse, having served many grateful patients in various settings. While working in Milwaukee, she met and married corporate attorney, Michael S. Nolan. Their marriage would span five decades until Mike's passing in 2020. Together they raised four sons in their Elm Grove home and were longtime members of St. Mary's Visitation Parish. As a passionate Catholic, Diane attended daily mass, led a weekly rosary circle, was a regular fixture at St. Mary's perpetual adoration chapel, and volunteered at the parish school. When she was not busy as a mother or at St. Mary's, Diane helped as a nurse at St. Camillus' retirement community and served as an advisor to their board of directors. In her leisure, Diane, with Mike, travelled the world, cherished the company of their children and grandchildren, and doted on their Scottish Terriers, Nessie and Tuppence.
She is survived by her four sons Patrick (Natalie), Timothy (Iva), Daniel (Laura), and Andrew (Annelise), six grandchildren (Nicholas (22), Catherine (20), Elizabeth (16), Liliana (9), Margaret (4), and Alice (2)), her brothers Gary and David (Marilyn), and countless friends. Preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Verna, husband Mike, and her sibling Robert.
