He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schiller and Josephine Schiller (Koeberlein); his brother Robert; his grandson Joey Hignite; and his nephew Bill Reifenrath.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth (Betty); his children, Margaret, Thomas (Marie), Jane Hignite (David) and Mary Jo Knapp (Mark); his grandchildren, Matthew Michaud, Madeleine Michaud, Laura Zacharisen (Ryan), Julia Nameth (Ryan), Steven Hignite, Michael Hignite (Jasmine), Robby Knapp and Katie Knapp (Manny); his great grandchildren, Charlie and Emma Hignite; and his sister Mary Reifenrath. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Sebastian Catholic Church (5400 W Washington Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53208). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
