He was predeceased by: his father Gerald "Jerry" Hartung; his in-laws, Perry and Fran Hurlburt; his grandparents, Michael J, Cecila Kasel (Bauer), Fredrick and Florence Hartung (Styer); and his stepgrandfather John C Weinzirl.
He is survived by: his mother Marjorie Hartung (Kasel); his wife Martha Hurlburt; his children, Jason Hartung of Elmwood, Pamela Bauer (Craig) of Durand and Adam Hartung (Maggie) of Elmwood; his grandchildren, Grace, Averie, Callie and Liam; and his siblings, Ruth Luebker (Jack), Tom Hartung (Jeanne), Jeff Hartung (Margaret), Steve Hartung (Jill) and Beth Hartung (Kazuya Agata). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
