He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Ziereis and Mildred Ziereis (Anderson); his wife Ruth Degener of Shawano; his children, Brenda, Bob and Doug; his siblings, Lawrence and Minerva; his grandsons, Ezra Jacob Hartinger and Philip Caleb Hartinger; his brothers-in-law, Walter Sprenger and Roland Degener; his siblings' children, David Degener, Keith Degener and Shirley Buschel; his daughters, Sister Renee Sprenger and Sister Connie (Steinke); his brother-in-law Wilbur; his grandson Jasper Hartinger; his great grandchildren, Trinity, Mac and Bodhi; his sisters-in-law, Delores Ziereis and Marcella Degener; his siblings' children, LouAnn, Scott, Travis, Theresa, Tracy, Donna, Sue, Debbie, Penny, Wayne, Duane and Sherri; and also Leonard. He was also cherished by many great nieces and nephews as well as lifelong friends.
