He is survived by: his wife Betty Hamilton; his children, Karl Hamilton (Robin), Kristi Hamilton (Paul Goldschmidt) and Matthew Hamilton (Chris); his grandchildren, Ian Carter Hamilton (Tejé), Courtney, Emma, Grace and Philip; his siblings, David Hamilton, Darrell Hamilton (Jenean) and Francette Hamilton; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Hamilton, Suzy Zweifel (Ron), Ann Maynard, Gordon Odegaard (Diane) and David Odegaard (Lucie).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Phil's name to Agrace Hospice.
