She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Gundlach and Arlene Gundlach (Braudt); her brother Elmore "Ted" Gundlach; and her brother-in-law George Tanner. She is survived by: her husband Jack Lindner; her children, Steven Lindner (Sara), Stacey Place (Rick) and Susan Clifton (Jeff); her grandchildren, Clara Kettwick (Karsen), Elston Lindner, Isaiah Place, Tatianna Place, Madelyn Clifton and Ella Clifton; and her siblings, Gloria Tanner and David Gundlach (Janet).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church (133 W Oak St, Lancaster, WI 53813).

“Jack, Steve, Stacey, Susan and your families. I was so sorry to hear of Abby's passing. It brings back so many memories of her, Sharon, and me. as yeah and Kathleen were born around the same time. Susan was such a tiny little peanut compared to Kathleen who weighed in at 9 lbs. The four of us going for long walks even in winter. Many, many times spending mornings at one of our houses having coffee and crafting Christmas decorations. Life changes but friendship remains forever.”
