He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Loehr and Lillian Loehr (Olig); his in-laws, Paul and Lois Letourneau, Sr.; his brothers-in-law, Paul Letourneau, Jr. and John Blalock; and his great-nephew Patrick Gitter.

He is survived by: his wife Patty; his siblings, Karen Baumhardt (Jim), Chuck Loehr (Sheila), Claudia "Muff" Gitter (Dave) and Margie Ketter (Ken); his sibling-in-law Andrea Blalock; and his nephew Jamie Mertens. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
