With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charlene L. King of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 3, 2025 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Smerling and Patricia Lee Smerling; her husband Fred; and her son Jeffery. She is survived by: her children, Tina Smart (Terry), Kim Schlies (Bill) and Jason King (Joyelle); her grandchildren, Travis Smart (Ally Huston), Trevor Smart, Jacob Wendt Sidney Schlies (Carissa Birschbach), Carter King (Alysha Paul) and Lucas King; her great grandchildren, Mason, Ryker and Hannah; and her sisters, Carol Hildebrand, Lana Nortman (Todd), Gail Kriha and Ange Molash. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Barbola Funeral Chapel (282 E Marquette St, Berlin, WI 54923). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, Rev (282 E Marquette St, Berlin, WI 54923).
