He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ryan and Mary Sue Ryan; his sons, David James Ryan (DJ) and Christopher Lee Ryan; and his brothers, Jerry Ryan, Larry Ryan and Francis Ryan.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia; and his children, Christina Seawright (Jory), Jason Jagdfeld (Jodi), Jenny Blavat (Nick) and Joe Jagdfeld (Allison). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 5 sisters-in-law, 4 brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
