He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Sabel and Alvina Sabel (Petrie); his siblings-in-law, Andy and Martha Gutreuter; his sisters, Adeline Hoefs, Delores Vollmer (Eugene) and Margie Petrie; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Schiller (Mary Jean) and Carl Lichtenwald.
He is survived by: his wife Marian Gutreuter; his children, Judy Whealon (Tim) and Dave Sabel (Amy); his grandchildren, Jennifer Deering (Kevin), Andrea Whealon (Cole), Jacob and Noah Sabel (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Sam, Eva, Jax and Hayden; and his sister-in-law Betty Lichtenwald. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
