He was predeceased by : his parents, William Strnad and Josephine Strnad (Valvoda); his daughter-in-law Kristine; and his siblings, Joanne and William Strnad Jr..

He is survived by : his wife Mary Jane; his children, Denis Strnad (Gloria), Scott Strnad, Sandy Schneider (John) and Shelly Theisen (Neal); and his cousin Mary Ellen Fitzgibbons. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
