She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl Miller Kurzynske and Paul Kurzynske; her friend Lorraine Schultz; her husband Howard W. Bertz; her sister Shirley Kurzynske Dibell; her grandmother Amelia Miller; her aunt Esther Miller; and her uncle Alfred Doyle.
She is survived by: her children, Steven H. Bertz, Richard W. Bertz (Elizabeth) and Deborah B. Fowler (Jeffrey); her grandchildren, Benjamin Bertz, Jeremiah Bertz, Jacob Fowler (Ashley), Zachary Fowler and Alexa Bertz; and her great grandchild Boden Fowler. She is also survived by the loving caretaker of her family.
She served as chairwoman for the eastern Fond du Lac yearly fundraising drive for the American Cancer Society.
