She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Smet and Irene Smet (Hoglund); her son Andrew Charneski; her siblings, Peter Smet and Diane Riggs (Ron); and her sisters-in-law, Donna Melius, Mary Smet-Wendels and Mary Charneski.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Charneski; her children, Kate Charneski of Milwaukee and Anthony Charneski (Monica) of West Allis; her grandchildren, Charles and Christian; her siblings, Paul Smet (Cathy), John Smet (Jean), Mark Smet (Missy), Dan Smet (Julie), Daniel Firks and Lisa Collien (Ricky); and her siblings-in-law, Donald Charneski (Nan), John Charneski (Val), Mark Charneski (Amy), Keith Melius, Jaclyn King (Jerry) and Carol Reitz (Roger). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
