He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Immel and Dora Immel (Becker); his grandson Trevor Shaw; and his parents-in-law, Alfred, Dorothy Engel, Mildred, George Keys, Raymond, Charlotte Immel, Fred Mielke, Myron, Susan Immel, Harlan Immel, Bill, Marianne Timblin, Allan, Sheila Engel, Mona Engel and Barbara Engel.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn D. Engel; his children, Todd Immel (Jill), Jackie Welsh (Joe), Ted Immel, Tim Immel (Cindy) and Jodi Kuhnke (Scott); his grandchildren, Crystal (Jeremiah), Alyssa, Nicki (Tyler), Paige Cassie (DJ), Marissa and Travis; his great grandchildren, David, Alexzander, Brooklyn, Rylleigh, Lilly, Clyde and Eleanor; his stepgrandchildren, Liz (Scott), Nate (Sam) and Ryan (Alexis); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ethan, Madison, Kailey, Jaxson and Brantley; and his parents-in-law, Delores Mielke, Marge, Jerry Geiger, Vernon, Lila Immel, Lyle, Barbara Immel, Verna Immel, Roger, Gloria Engel, John Engel and Susie Bowe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mount Calvary EMS or SSM Hospice.
