He is survived by: his spouse Zoeneida Thomas; his children, Jerry Thomas (Cheryl), Andrew Barfknecht (Rebecca) of Menlo Park, CA and Helen Bronk (Arnie); his grandsons, Ethan and Liam Barnet; and his siblings, John Barfknecht (Joyce), Edna Wigger of Columbus, MO, Janet Willis (Eugene), Elaine Rubringer of Cleveland, WI and Louise Keifenheim (Jim).
Harold donated his time and gardening skills to the upkeep of Veterans Park in Fond du Lac.
