She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Hensel and Frieda Krueger Hensel; her husband Gerald Palmer; her siblings, Elda Schussman (Dennis) and Alvin Hensel (Evelyn); her brother-in-law Bill Mitchell; and her nephews, David and Gary Schussman.

She is survived by: her children, Roger (Rose) of Muskego and Lisa (Jerome Haser) of Lamartine; her grandchildren, Jerad, Keely Palmer of Muskego and Cameron (Danielle) of Osseo; her sister Alice Mitchell of Lamartine; her foster son Mark Bauernfeind (Lois) of Beaver Dam; Diane Young of Sun Prairie. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
