He was predeceased by: his wife Ramona Spears; his parents, Wilmer Capelle and Jane Capelle; his parents-in-law, Darrell and Audrey Spears; and his brother-in-law Greg Spears.
He is survived by: his close friend Darlene Wilcox; his sisters, Nanette Kalk and Suzanne Whitmore; his children, Matthew Capelle (Anna), Gina Lese (Jeff) and Annie Capelle; and his grandchildren, Noah, Olivia, Elizabeth, Gracie, Hattie and Avery.
