He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Commo and Celesta Commo (Koepke); his sister-in-law Esther Hafferman (Henry); his sisters, Judie Schelter and Joan Hall; and his brothers-in-law, Du Wayne Schelter and Ralph Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Adel Hafferman; his children, Shelly (Coppock), Kelly (Dobyns), Scott Commo (Jessica) and Rebecca Olson (Steve); his grandchildren, Courtney Hinkle, Alexandria Coppock, Joseph Dobyns, Sydney, Sophia Commo, Isabella and Noah Olson; and his great grandchildren, Kendra, Kaden and Kayleb. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts may be given to help support the Mayo Clinic Cancer Research Fund.
