It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Scheidenhelm of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Christian and Thelma Leota Scheidenhelm (Snider); his wife Barbara Ann Shilland; and his half-sister Mary Sue Eilrich (Gary). He is survived by: his children, Glenn Scheidenhelm (Sharon) of Green Bay and Karen Moehn (David) of Fond; his grandchildren, Sheila Cotton, Jordan Moehn (Shiloh Jones) and Jasmine Jarvis (Blake); his stepgrandchildren, Amy Lemmen (Kurt) and Micky Doyle (Tim); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Tyler Furcho, Alexus Doyle, Andon and Lauren Lemmen; his half-sister Sarah Jane Biermann (James) of Glenwood, Iowa; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Eilrich of Cleveland and David Shilland III of Commerce Township, Michigan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to John's college fraternity (FarmHouse Fraternity) in memory of his father, Elmer C. Scheidenhelm (the Elmer C. Scheidenhelm Memorial Fund) at FarmHouse Foundation, 1021 Jefferson Street, Kansas City, MO 64105. Other places donations can be sent in his memory are the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or the charity of one's choice are preferred.
