He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Toshner; his parents, Earl Chapin and Mary Chapin; his siblings, Diane and David Chapin; and his grandson Blair Chapin.
He is survived by: his friend Jess Ellison; his sons, Scott Chapin (Susan) of Ft Lauderdale, FL and Jim Chapin (Becky) of Waco, TX; his siblings, Thomas Chapin (Lac) of Fond and Sharon Franzen (Lac) of Fond; his grandchildren, Brent (Patty) of Denver, Elizabeth (Christopher) of Lexington, KY and Jayme Chapin of Waco, TX.; his great grandchildren, Brantley, Weston, Sienna and Julian; and his siblings' children, Chapins, Toshners, Mienkes, Schneiders, Franzens and Weiners.
