He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Thompson and Myrtle Thompson (Anderson); his siblings, Dolores Coller (Eugene), Jean Welch (Richard), Tom Thompson (Noleen) and Howard Thompson (Coralie); his parents-in-law, Fred and Marie Ingram; and his brothers-in-law, Fred "Brad" Ingram and Carl Miller.

He is survived by: his wife Melede Thompson (Ingram) of Fond; his sons, Brian Thompson (Renae) of Fond and Kevin Thompson of Sarasota, Florida; his grandchildren, Kylee Thompson of Fond and Emily Thompson of Arizona; and his sister-in-law Edith Miller of Anchorage, Alaska. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
