He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Powers and Velda Powers (Whittlinger); his stepdaughter Carolyn Canopy; his wife Kathryn Powers; and his son Jeffrey Powers.
He is survived by: his daughters, Holly Powers and Lisa Aus; his daughter-in-law Shari Powers; his stepchildren, Randall, Duane, Kenneth, Gregory, William Meyers and Noreen Gerth; and his sister Shirley Comens. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
