He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Boehning and Esther Voss Boehning; his daughter Sandra Kitz; his parents-in-law, Warben and Darlene Searl; and his brothers-in-law, Wesley Searl and Delroy Kimball.

He is survived by: his wife Carol J. Searl; his children, Bob Boehning (Aloma Weaver) of Dundee, Sherri Linzmeyer (Lac) of North Fond and Scott Boehning (Lac) of Fond; his son-in-law David Kitz (JoDee Mullowney) of Ripon; his grandchildren, Nathan Kitz, Justin Linzmeyer (Jessica Duggan), Courtney Reese (Decker), Brittany Linzmeyer (Vaughn Rahn), Quinn Boehning, Christian Boehning and Chloe Boehning; his great grandchildren, Judith Boehning and Jamie Linzmeyer; his stepgreat-grandchild Kaelyn Reese; and his sisters-in-law, Charlene Kimball, Ellen Pollom (Tony), Dawn Hoffmann (Ken), Pam Reiser and Sharon Searl.
