He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Meress and Joyce Meress (LeFebvre); and his siblings, Ernest Meress, Jr. and Mary Jane Remitz. He is survived by: his wife Lori Meress; his daughter Jennifer Wilson (Dean); his granddaughters, Carmella and Eleanor of Shawano, WI.; his stepsons, Brian Carson (Abby) of Santa Rosa, CA and Tony Carson (Amy) of Eugene, OR; and his granddaughters, Ayla and Azlynn Carson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the non-profits The Gratitude Club/Phoenix Nest or the Holy Family Catholic Community Warming Shelter, both in Fond du Lac.
