He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Whealon and Sarah Whealon (Meusel); and his half-sister Jean Downey. He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his children, Debra Whealon of Fond du Lac, Steven Whealon (Teresa) of Elcho, Sandra Skalitzky (Richard) of Rhinelander, Kevin Whealon (Polly) of Fond du Lac, Andrew Whealon (Christine) of Fond du Lac, Mary Thomas (Paul) of Uxbridge, Ontario and Therese Arts (Wayne) of Gladstone, MI; his grandchildren, Spencer, Stewart, Andrew Whealon, Shauna, Jacob Skalitzky, Sarah, Maxwell Whealon, Addyson, Lydia, Grace Whealon, Jack, Lillian, Ava Thomas, Everett and Isaac Arts; his brother Robert Whealon; his sisters-in-law, Barb Whealon and NorRita Corsmeier; and his grandsons, Anh Tran and Tu Phan. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Hospice Home of Hope.
