She was predeceased by : her parents, Charlie Surman and Alma Surman (Heisler); her son Steven Martin; and her siblings, Verge, Virginia and Toad.

She is survived by : her husband Jerry Martin; her children, Jeff Martin (Dawn), Lori Kuen (Jeff) and David Martin; her grandchildren, Shannah Seyfert, Jamie Martin-Spaulding, Jessica Kuen, Kristyna Grider, Cassandra Stauber and Tyler Kuen; her great grandchildren, Ella, Harrison, Nora, Dayne, Mila, Sadie, Emmett and Theo; and her sisters, Lavina, Violet, Rosalie and Rosemary. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (271 Fourth St Way, Fond du Lac, WI 54937). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Church (271 Fourth St Way, Fond du Lac, WI 54937).

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Verona's name may be offered to Holy Family Catholic Parish or Telephone Pioneers of America.
