He is survived by: his parents, William H. McEssy and Lois McEssy (LaMantia); his sisters, Cheri McEssy and Amy Davidson (John); his niece Ali; his goddaughter Margaret; and his nephew Arthur John "AJ".
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Holy Name Cathedral (735 N State St, Chicago, IL 60654).
