He was predeceased by: his parents, Della Marie Mitchell (Smith) and James Mitchell; and his siblings, William Mitchell and Martha Dean Grimes. He is survived by: his children, Marci Jacobson (Edward) and Jeremy Mitchell; his granddaughters, Theodora and Lena Jacobson; his sister Trish Ledbetter (Mike); his nieces and nephews, Jamie Crane and William "Billy" Mitchell; and his caregivers, Nysa, Amber, Amy, Katrina and Kim.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a memorial fund which is being established.
