With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mardale Matthiesen of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, born in Oconto, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Mardale left this world on October 19, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her son Gary Steven Matthiesen; her husband Willis H. Matthiesen; her siblings, Nona Buettner and Marvin Lear; and her grandson Jonathan Becker.
She is survived by: her children, Bradley Matthiesen (Cindy) of Menomonee Falls and Tanace Matthiesen (Gary Becker) of Madison; her grandchildren, Kelly, Lauren, Caitlin, Carly, Hannah, Haley, Katrina, Will and Naomi; her stepgranddaughter Chani Becker; her sister-in-law Lois Matthiesen; and her close friends, Pat Belt, Marci Hansen, Teri Mchale and Pam Badura. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church of Fort Atkinson or St. Judes' Children's Hospital.
