She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Schlegel and Margaret Schlegel (Weber); and her siblings, Audrey Newhouse (George), Paul Schlegel and Earl Schlegel.

She is survived by : her son Joseph; her grandchildren, Matthew (Georgia), Sarah, Alica, Renee and Carla; her sister Hope Paul; and her friend Thomas Jurgilanis. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
