He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinholdt C. J. and Lizzie Marie Wendt (Markgraff); his wife Carol J. Hartman (Barlow); his siblings, Robert Wendt, Frances Northey, Evans Wendt, Frederick Wendt, Rose Reuterskiold, Lillian Hebbe, Viola Brandt and Florence Alexander; and his daughters, Christy K. LaRue (Hartman) and Debra K. Hollinger (Wendt).
He is survived by: his children, Wendy Chady (Robert), Patricia Jensen (Michael), Tammy Olson (Thomas), Michael Wendt (Richele) and Terry Hodawanus. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren, as well as many friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Agrace Hospice, who along with a team of loving, dedicated in-home caregivers, and the Memory Care staff at Reena Senior Living in Fort Atkinson, helped Ray close out his journey in this life with dignity, comfort, love, and compassion. Alternatively, donations in his name may be made to the Humane Society of Jefferson County.
