We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2025, at the age of 82, William Schmidt of Fox Lake, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Marjory Schmidt (Lidtke); his wife Karen Schwandt of Paul's Lutheran Church; and his in-laws, Albert and Anita Schwandt. He is survived by: his father Lester Schmidt; his children, Brian Schmidt, Krista Klas (Thomas) and Kendra Schmidt (Michael C. Rasmussen); his grandsons, Grant (Bethany Schneekloth), Trent and Bryce Klas; and his brother James Schmidt (Karn).

He had a kind heart and shared his generosity with others by donating 13 gallons of blood.
