With sadness, we share the passing of John Banyas of Franklin, Wisconsin. John, born on March 10, 1939 in Ottumwa, Iowa, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandson Nick; his parents, John and Mary; his brother Jim; and his sister-in-law Joyce.
He is survived by: his wife Joy; his children, Jill Zacher (Chris) and Daniel Banyas; his grandchildren, Julia Zacher, Tom Zacher and Amanda Banyas; his brothers, Steve, Gary (Vicki) and Dan (Marcia); and his caregivers, Belinda, Tia, Robin, Melissa, Katelyn and Jeanette.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Max A. Sass & Sons (8910 W Drexel Ave, Franklin, WI 53132). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
