She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Friis and Valborg Friis (Waldhausen); her husband John Irvin Hermstad; and her brother-in-law Roland Renstrom. She is survived by: her sister Evelyn; her sister-in-law Cecelia Renstrom; and her nephews, Dean Renstrom (Marilyn), Gerald Renstrom (Mary) and Mark Renstrom (Emily).
