He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen (Arne Wicklund) and Vernon (Alene Bistram); his siblings, Kay Roberts and Bill Johnson; and his parents-in-law, David and Grace McKinley.
He is survived by: his wife Myrna; his children, Donna Bistram (Brian), Dale Bistram (Zena) and Sara Michalek (Brentt); his grandchildren, Kelsey (Steven), McKenna (Kendra), Ashley, Michael, Lauren and Derek; his great grandchildren, Ella and Gabriel; his siblings, Gladys Becvar (Chuck), Bev Baker (Steve), Gary Johnson (Bonnie) and Esther Curry; and his siblings-in-law, Cilla Bauer, Jane Sampe, Joyce Glover, Daisy McKinley and Allen McKinley. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the American Legion Post 185 (108 N Oak St, Grantsburg, WI 54840). A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
