It is with sadness that the passing of Wayne Carl Schmidt of Fredonia, Wisconsin is shared. Wayne, born on March 29, 1945, passed away on July 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Schmidt and Clara Schmidt; his former wife Christine VanNess; and his wife Jean Muroni. He is survived by: his children, Corynne Bigelow, Shawn Bigelow and William Schmidt; his grandchildren, Vanessa Bigelow, Keirstin Yekenewicz (Kyle), Terisa and Katrina Schmidt; his great grandchildren, Nora, Lucas, Greta, Arianna and Clare; his sister-in-law Roberta Cochran (late Andy); his nephew Scott Cochran (Jill); his cousins, Diane Hrobsky (Joseph) and Jim Lindl; and his caregivers, Kelly McWilliams, Susan Cruslip, Gretchen of Sharon and Richardson. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
