Schmidt of Fremont, Wisconsin, born in New London, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 18, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Schmidt and Audrey Schmidt (Leppla); and his siblings-in-law, Wallace, Janice Grunwald and Brian Grunwald.

He is survived by: his son AJ (Dale); his wife Lori Grunwald; his close friend AJ; his brother Dave Schmidt (Dar); his sibling's child Jodie Johnson (Jake); his great-nephews, Cole and Levi; his sibling's child Jesse Schmidt; his great-nephews, Gavin and Owen; and his aunt Margaret Schrank. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

A memorial fund has been established Beja Shriner's Trustees.
