He was predeceased by : his parents, Gordon Butzlaff and Agnes Butzlaff (Koss). He is survived by : his children, Emylee Grim (Bobby), Grady Butzlaff and Jordan Butzlaff; his siblings, Carol O'bright (Jim) and Kenneth Butzlaff (Paula); his close friend Kayla Lehman; and also, Amy and Lisa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
